Musk's Tesla AI5 chip is about to enter mass production.

Samsung Group is advancing the construction of a wafer fabrication plant in Taylor, Texas, with the aim of supporting the 2026 targets of clients such as Tesla and X AI.

The company aims to achieve profitability in its foundry business by 2027, relying on expanded orders from Tesla and other AI customers, alongside increased capacity from its U.S.-based Samsung facility.
